K5 Series:

The K5 sintered compound is optimal for off-road motorcycles and ATVs. It is recommended for riders who demand great off-road stopping power and brake pad durability when riding on tough off-road terrains. The K5 series is designed for low abrasive interaction with the rotor, long life and self-cleaning capabilities necessary in off-road riding conditions. Friction materials contain metal-ceramic with a sophisticated bronze-graphite and full-metal mixture formulation with fine friction particles to achieve optimal friction properties.

What is a sintered brake pad?

GOLDfren only manufacturers sintered brake pads that contain metal-ceramic and ceramic-carbon friction materials, these materials allow for less brake dust and a quieter braking experience. Sintered brake pads are made by fusing together metallic particles under high temperature and pressure which enhances friction properties and pad life, resulting in longer life and stronger braking. Sintered brake pads experience no brake fade when operating at high temperatures and in wet conditions. They also last up to 5 times longer than organic pads and provide additional braking strength. All materials used are environmentally friendly and do not contain any lead, asbestos, fibreglass or formaldehyde.

Reminder: one set of brake pads services one brake disc, if you are servicing multiple discs you will need multiple sets of brake pads.

K&N Powersports oil filters contain a modern synthetic filter media, designed for ultimate flow with less pressure drop, yet engineered for outstanding filtration. K&N Powersports 'spin-on' oil filters feature a heavy-duty metal can. Most of these have a 17 mm nut affixed onto the end that allows for easy removal. The axle has 6 ball bearings in each CV joint. Laminate coating resists corrosion and rust, and protects axle from dirt, water, rocks and grease. Replacing the fuel tank seal or gasket is a vital part of the fuel pump replacement process. Quantum tank seals are made exclusively from Viton, which are impervious to ethanol and other chemicals that degrade conventional rubber over time. These OE replacements are designed for fitment on specific vehicles.

Fuel pump strainers act as a first line of defence against fuel system contamination. Strainers filter out common contaminants found in gasoline such as dirt, dust and other particulate matter, as well as gasoline varnish. • Battery condition is extremely important. No stator can work correctly with a bad or weak battery. Always fully charge your battery before performing any charging system tests or replacing parts. If there is any doubt, have the battery load tested or replaced.
